Hi all

I have a table with over  2'000'000 tuples. I would search in these table with 
php mapscript. (I search the full_name column.)

How could I create a very fast query with php mapscript and a postgresql?

What should I make: create indexes, and which  indexes, ... ?

What's the difference to a ARCsde (oracle)?
What should I make with ARCsde, oracle?

Could somebody give me an example?
