A short list of other foundations that support open source software projects.

Apache "The Apache Software Foundation provides organizational, legal, and financial support for a broad range of open source software projects" Mainly as legal cover for developers, maintain copyright, some resources for hardware, etc. No full time staff. Incubator adds code adoption process.
